NINAKURU Panama hats are meticulously hand-woven in the Andean highlands of Ecuador by a women’s fair trade cooperative, ensuring weavers receive dignified wages, health benefits, and educational assistance for their children.
Each hat takes approximately 5-7 days to weave and are then shipped to our workshop in Ojai, California where we adorn each hat with its finishing touches.
Genuine Panama hats are never cut or sewn by machine, which is why you may encounter slight imperfections in brim shape. We consider these imperfections stamps of authenticity.
