One of a kind, just like you
All of our products are custom and made-to-order by our talented artisans. Each hat and bag takes approximately 7-10 days to craft and is then shipped to our workshop in Ojai, California where we lovingly adorn with its finishing touches. NINAKURU Panama hats and bags are meticulously hand-woven in the Andean highlands of South America by a women’s fair trade cooperative, ensuring weavers receive dignified wages, health benefits, and educational assistance for their children.
Our Finishes
Vegetable tanned leather
A craft handed down over the centuries, vegetable tanning uses tannin from botanicals, providing a natural smell and look that develops a beautiful patina over time, giving it genuine character and appeal.
Turquoise
Recognized for its unique aesthetics and cultural significance over millennia, each of our turquoise stones is hand selected to meet our high standards of shape, size, vibrant hues and intricate matrix patterns.
Toquilla straw
Lightweight and breathable, our authentic Panama hats are hand woven by talented women weavers using ethically sourced, organic toquilla straw, sustainably grown in the lush jungles along the Ecuadorian coast.
Cotton grosgrain sweatband
Premium grosgrain sweatbands meticulously crafted from high quality cotton and lovingly hand selected for each custom-made piece.
Love in the details
Our attention to detail, meticulous craftsmanship and holistic quality is the foundation of our ethos and reflected in every piece.
